About Empire Bespoke
Empire Bespoke is an independent furniture studio devoted to creating distinctive pieces for interiors where the ordinary simply will not do.
Each piece begins with an idea, not a catalog, a trend, or a predetermined style. Inspiration may come from architecture, automotive design, the decorative arts, or the character of an exceptional material. From there, proportion, finish, hardware, texture, and construction are considered as parts of a single composition.
The result is furniture intended to be discovered gradually.
A polished metal edge catching the light. The contrast of a high-gloss surface against a deliberately muted one. Leather where wood might ordinarily be expected. A drawer lined in Alcantara. Custom hardware designed as part of the piece rather than added to it afterward. Interiors are given the same consideration as the exterior, including details that may only ever be seen by the owner.
This attention to the less obvious is fundamental to Empire Bespoke.
The Maker
Empire Bespoke was founded by Adam Nowicki after more than two decades in law enforcement, a career in which preparation, precision, judgment, and attention to detail were non-negotiable.
Furniture may seem an unlikely second act. In many ways, it is not.
Adam has been refining his craft since 2010. The same tendency to examine details, anticipate problems, and resist compromise has shaped his approach to designing and building furniture ever since. What began as an interest in woodworking evolved into an increasingly demanding pursuit of proportion, materials, finishing, metalwork, upholstery, and the many specialized crafts required to produce a truly resolved piece.
Rather than coming from a traditional design-house background, Adam developed his aesthetic independently. That distance from convention has allowed Empire Bespoke to draw freely from disparate influences; from Art Deco and contemporary architecture to fine automobiles, tailored interiors, jewelry, and industrial design.
The objective is not to reproduce a particular period or style.
It is to create something that feels familiar enough to belong in a sophisticated interior, yet distinctive enough that it could not have come from anywhere else.
A Different View of Luxury
At Empire Bespoke, luxury is not defined by a label.
It is found in material, restraint, execution, and the freedom to pursue an idea beyond what is practical for mass production.
It means selecting a veneer because its figure suits one particular surface. Refining a profile by fractions of an inch. Polishing metal until it behaves differently in the light. Finishing an interior surface that few people will ever see. Rejecting an easier solution because it changes the character of the piece.
These decisions take time. They also give an object its presence.
Empire Bespoke produces furniture in very limited quantities, emphasizing original designs, exceptional materials, and work that retains the unmistakable evidence of individual consideration rather than production-line engineering.
The ambition is simple:
to create furniture worth remembering.
